YOUTH WORKERS KEY TO END HUMAN TRAFFICKING
A free online course on human trafficking has been developed by the Cross Culture International Foundation CCIF Malta, https://ccifmt.org with its project partners Cesie https://cesie.org/en, Reaching Out -Romania https://reaching out.ro and Association for action against trafficking in human beings Open Gate –La Strada Macedonia www.lastrada.org.mk. The course is part of Project “You Work To EndTrafficking in Youth funded by European Union through the Erasmus+ Program.
The designed E -Learning course is an online resource provides an overview of the issue of modern day slavery. It is aimed at helping all youth workers to recognize the signs that someone has been trafficked or at risk or is vulnerable, and to take appropriate action with confidence. It will prepare Youth workers and staff from the participating organizations to gain required knowledge and skills needed to play a key role in preventing human trafficking in their daily work. It is built up from a survey carried out in the participating partner countries but also given a general perspective that will give it relevance to youth workers and youth in general. E -Learning course – this online resource provides an overview of the issue of modern day slavery. It is aimed at helping all youth workers to recognize the signs that someone has been trafficked or can be trafficked or is vulnerable, and to take appropriate action with confidence.
The course consists of nine substantive modules:
Global picture of human trafficking
Introduction for the youth workers training programs
Identification of victims of human trafficking
Protection of victims and their rights
These topics are explored by using extracts from an eManual produced in the project, in some cases selected YouTube videos, interactive screens, knowledge tests and reflective exercises.
